11th and 12th February: Midmar Mile

25th February: Sterkfontein Dam Swim 5km, 3km and 1500m and 500m.

This Swim South Africa sanctioned swim takes place just ”Over the border ” from KZN Drakensberg in the Free State. Some Highway Swimmers as well as an East Coaster have already booked their accommodation in the Central Berg. Accommodation is limited at the Dam itself that is why most people tend to stay over in the Northern or Central Berg on the Friday and Saturday night, travelling to the Swim on the Saturday morning , spending Saturday afternoon exploring the Berg and driving home on Sunday.
