Often I get a call to ask for a self-catering cottage in the Drakensberg that offers value-for-money.

Birdsong Cottage is one of those places to stay in the Champagne Valley.

Not only is it a private cottage in the Bergview estate with a beautiful view, but it is also within walking distance of hiking trails and canopy tour.
Self-catering is by far the more cost effective option and what we like about this cottage is that it is fully equipped to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible, if the weather prevents you from enjoying the numerous sporting activities, then there is DSTV and a DVD player, to maximise your time with your family, there is a dishwasher and to simply enjoy a true South African meal – there is a braai!
