Silent Wings Guest House is situated in the Champagne Valley of the Central Drakensberg.

The three bedroomed house is located up on a hill overlooking the Champagne Castle, Cathkin mountain peaks and the valley below.  The view is spectacular.

The french country style furnishings of this mountain house contribute to its cosy charm which is made more homely by the fireplace during the winter months!

Silent Wings has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area and built in braai on the patio.  One of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom and the other two rooms have separate bathrooms.

Guests need only bring food, drinks and swimming towels.

Housekeeping daily and a laundry service is available on request.

Our Xmas in July is a special weekend we started 16 years ago.  Because Xmas is traditionally celebrated in winter and usually with snow on the ground, we recreate the Xmas spirit with all the decorations & delicious Xmas food and hope that we have some snow!  We host a dinner dance on Saturday.  It has always been a wonderful weekend with many guests returning every year.

Drakensberg Canopy Tours® had their official opening in mid October 2009.  I want to offer this kind of adventure tour to the holiday makers who come to the central Drakensberg, so I thought I had better try it out for myself first!
